Shanina Smith, COTA is a compassionate occupational therapy assistant at HQHT whose dedication, patience, and hands on approach shine through in everything she does.
Shanina Smith, COTA has been a valued member of the High Quality Home Therapy team since 2022, providing individualized care to patients through both one on one sessions and group settings. She works with individuals across the lifespan, focusing on improving independence in activities of daily living while addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Shanina has experience supporting self regulation, attention and focus, social skills, motor development, and sensory processing.
In addition to her work at HQHT, Shanina has a strong background in pediatric care, where she has supported the development of fine and gross motor skills, visual motor coordination, handwriting, and problem solving. She also brings experience as a certified nursing assistant, giving her a well rounded understanding of patient care and daily living support.
A graduate of Lincoln College of New England, Shanina earned her Associate’s Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and holds certifications as both a COTA and CNA. Known for her adaptability and genuine care for others, Shanina is committed to helping each individual feel confident, capable, and supported in reaching their goals.
