Raquel Godoi, SOT

Raquel Godoi is an aspiring Occupational Therapist based in Stamford, CT, with a passion for supporting children's growth and development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Federal Institute of the South of Minas Gerais in Brazil and has completed post-baccalaureate prerequisite coursework at Connecticut Community College to pursue graduate studies in Occupational Therapy.

For over seven years, Raquel has worked closely with children and families as a childcare provider, supporting daily routines, developmental milestones, and independence through structured, meaningful activities. Her experience spans infants through young teens, and she has partnered with families to navigate everything from emotional regulation to school transitions.

Raquel has also gained direct pediatric clinical exposure through 20 hours of occupational therapy observation at Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy Center in Westport, CT, where she saw firsthand how play-based, client-centered therapy supports fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.

Bilingual in English and Portuguese, Raquel brings a culturally responsive approach to her work and a growing interest in lifespan and transitional care. Her background in biological sciences, combined with years of hands-on experience with children, positions her to bring both scientific rigor and genuine warmth to her future career in Occupational Therapy.
