Julie is a Physical Therapist with more than 40 years of experience across hospital, home care and community settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science and her Certificate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston in 1978, with clinical training at hospitals and rehab centers that served both children and adults.
Julie is no stranger to HQHT. She was one of the very first employees when the company started, and we are thrilled to welcome her back after all these years. Her career began in 1979 at The Ahlbin Centers in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she was promoted several times, from staff PT to Senior Staff PT, PT Supervisor, Associate Director and PT Director. In that role she led a team of up to 50 therapists serving a 650 bed hospital, while also treating patients in many areas of the hospital. She went on to spend more than 20 years in home care with United Home Care, Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut and Hartford HealthCare at Home, where she served as a Senior Staff PT. She has also worked in assisted living and with Elara Caring and Atrinity Home Health, providing evaluations, treatments and thorough documentation while keeping patients, families and physicians’ offices informed every step of the way.
Julie brings decades of hands-on wisdom and a steady, caring presence to every patient she meets. She is known for her strong communication, her teamwork and her ability to make patients and families feel supported and understood. Patients can count on Julie for a warm, encouraging approach that makes therapy feel comfortable and personal.
