Evelyn Marin, SLP

Evelyn Marin, M.S., CCC-SLP is a bilingual and highly accomplished Speech-Language Pathologist at HQHT whose creativity, cultural competence, and deep dedication to every child and family she works with shine through in everything she does.

Evelyn's journey in speech-language pathology is one defined by purpose and passion. From her early clinical placements in schools and medical settings to her work in the Bronx serving bilingual and bicultural communities, she has always been drawn to the patients who need a clinician who truly sees them, understands their world, and advocates fiercely for their communication needs.

Evelyn earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, graduating with a 3.7 and 3.8 GPA, respectively, Dean's List honors, Program Honors, and membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars both times. She further expanded her expertise by completing the Bilingual Extension Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University, one of the most prestigious programs in the country for bilingual speech-language pathology.

Her clinical experience spans elementary schools, charter schools, preschool special education programs, and a major medical center. She completed graduate placements at Mamaroneck Avenue Elementary School and Montefiore Medical Center, and even traveled to Ica, Peru with Healing the Children Northeast to provide speech and language services to children and adults with cleft lip and palate conditions, an experience that speaks volumes about her character and her commitment to access and equity in care. She has since worked at Mott Hall Charter School, Amber Charter School, and most recently at Saint Dominic's Family Services where she provides tailored services to preschool-aged students with special needs.

Evelyn holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and is certified in the SOS Approach to Feeding, PECS Levels 1 and 2, and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing. She also has basic ASL skills and is trained in AAC, making her an incredibly versatile clinician for a wide range of communication needs.

Outside of work Evelyn is known for being creative, flexible, and resourceful, qualities that carry directly into her therapy sessions, where no two lessons ever look the same. She is a natural leader and collaborator who brings joy and energy to every room she walks into, and HQHT is truly fortunate to have her.
